Cannabis Tincture: Smokeless Way to Get Relief You Need
There have always been several ways to consume cannabis: rolling papers, vaping, and edibles. The newest way to consume that you may not be familiar with is tinctures. Cannabis tinctures are for people who want to receive the benefits of cannabis, but prefer not to in the traditional sense. For a number reasons, smoking might not be the best option for people and edibles could be difficult to dose as a first timer. If you want to have more control over the administration and effects, tinctures are a perfect way to supplement your endocannabinoid system.
What is a tincture?
A cannabis tincture, whether alcohol-based or oil based, can be used for easy consumption. You can add tinctures to your daily routine through adding it into your food, juices, soups, and salad dressings. Before cannabis was added on the United States of America Schedule 1 drug list in 1937, most cannabis was taken medicinally by tincture. It is one of the oldest forms of usage that is re-emerging due to the legalization of medical-use cannabis across the country. With tinctures, dosage guides provide comfort for those beginning to understand their tolerance.
Dosage
When you purchase cannabis flower from legal markets, they typically have the percentage of THC or CBD labeled on the packaging. This is a concept that does not particularly exist when you’re buying your flower from unlicensed dispensaries. Therefore, most consumers remain uneducated about the dosage of cannabinoids (the good stuff) they’re ingesting. On the other hand, tinctures are on the opposite end of that spectrum. You know exactly the amount of cannabinoids per milligram and recommended dosage instructions.
Throughout each step of farm to customer, i.e. the cultivator, processor, and testing labs, knowing the number of milligrams per bottle allows you to decide how much or how little you want to ingest. You control your experience a lot more than any other type of consumption. Many people start with a low dosage and work their way up to a level that best suits their needs.
How to Use
Now that you have your tincture en route, refer to the packaging instructions for how to use. Taking it orally allows the cannabinoids (i.e. CBD, CBN) to rapidly absorb into the blood stream. Here at ASHIDO we enjoy adding 2mL drops in smoothies. Although absorption can be slowed down when mixed with food or drinks, it is a great and simplistic way to incorporate cannabis into our current routine.
Whichever way you wish to consume is your prerogative. The goal is to be knowledgeable about what works best for your body and current needs.
ASHIDO Spotlight Product recommendation:
The next time you are looking to try a new product, I recommend the Reset CBD drops that are hemp-derived and pure CBD isolate. It’s great in the mornings, before or after you work out, anytime you need pain relief and/or before you go to bed.
